Not only will the next GREASY! session host S.I.'s finest the Recruders (known for fine versions of "The Man From UNCLE Theme," "See If I Care," and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes") plus guest WCBS-FM's DJ Bob Shannon [playing 45s he isn't allowed to play on the radio] but late word is it will also host a bachelorette party! I'll be on the bill, too.
I know what you're thinking but my silver hotpants will not be back from the dry cleaner in time. I'll instead blast a buncha '60s garage rock 45s.
Where? Lucky Cat, 245 Grand St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We start playing the record machine @ 10PM and don't stop till 4AM. Free, no fee--but bring some moola to buy the band's CDs.

As many of you may have noticed, the site looks a lot different. We've moved it to a system using the Joomla content management system. This should make administering the web site easier. You can still get to the old site if you click the link to "Old Site" on the left, however it will no longer be updated. Over the next few days the Recruders should contact the webmaster to find out how they can start adding content to the site on their own! |

This is the news from the old site: ***6-25-2007*** Finally hit 1000 hits to this web page!!! It only took 3 years! LOL! ***6-8-2007*** Recruders.com email addresses are now set up for the band members. Mike, Tom, and Tim, please contact me to find out how to access them or confirm that you have received my email. ***6-6-2007*** -Added some tracks on LastFM so that they can be embedded to the left (Click the playlist). I also removed the Poll from here because it was causing pop ups. ***6-5-2007*** -Look for the new Recruders Album coming soon!!!! (Really, Mikey says there's gonna be an album, and he's actually gonna start shipping the CD's ordered with paypal. Bear with him, Masher no know how to use computer good.) |
